About the Artist
Emma’s work is inspired by her identity as a Ngarrindjeri woman, with strong ties to the Gunditjmara people of Warrnambool. She honours the Traditional Owners of the land on which this artwork was created — the Peek Whuurrong people of the Marr Nation — and pays heartfelt respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. Her art reflects a growing journey of reconnection — to culture, to self, and to Country — and she carries the stories, wisdom, and support of Ngarrindjeri Elders who continue to guide her path as an artist.

Through every line and layer, Emma weaves her story — and invites you to slow down, reflect, and piece it together with care.
